About Door of Hope

Door of Hope’s Mission Statement:

"We exist as an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His Church to promote a Biblical perspective on purity, pregnancy, parenting, adoption, and post-abortive healing to men and women, through the hope that is in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Statement of Purpose:

Whereas the Door of Hope Pregnancy and Family Care Center has always been committed to truth and integrity in its relationship with clients, with the community, and in its advertising, be it therefore resolved that the statement which follows is indeed our purpose. As embodied in its staff and volunteers, the Door of Hope Pregnancy and Family Care Center, through the provision of God’s people and the community at large, is committed to:

1)The sanctity of human life and that therefore there is never justification for an elective abortion. The Door of Hope presents truths about abortion but never advises, advocates, provides, or refers for abortion or abortion inducing drugs/medications.

2)Promoting sexual purity inside and outside of marriage. Therefore, we are committed to offering abstinence resources for the un-married and guidance in faithfulness for the married.

3)Presenting the gospel of our Lord to people in need, both in word and deed. To reinforce this purpose, those who labor as Door of Hope staff and volunteers are expected to know and follow Christ as their Savior and Lord.

4)Creating awareness within the local community of the value of Biblical purity, the needs during pregnancy, the option of adoption, and the fact that abortion only compounds human need rather than resolving it.

5)Providing, within our means, its clients whatever forms of support that are necessary to enable mothers or fathers in crisis pregnancies to bring their babies to term whether choosing to parent their child or choosing adoption.

6)Assisting those who have chosen to parent their child(ren), inorder that they may face the future with hope and plan constructively for themselves and their child(ren).

7)Encouraging those who are considering adoption, with information, referrals, support and understanding.

8)Sharing the love of Christ with individuals who are post-abortive and/or victims of abuse and helping them find healing, restoration and freedom in Christ.

9)Serving all clients free of charge and with appropriate confidentiality regardless of race, gender, creed, color, national origin, age, or marital status of its clients.
